A very pleasant crescent! With their light golden colour, characteristic crescent shape and distinctive flavour, cashews are one of our most versatile nuts. They’re also one of the most unusual! Cashews are actually seeds that grow on the outside of cashew apples, the pulp of which is very juicy, but the skin is fragile, making it unsuitable for transport.

Originally grown in Brazil, Cashews are now also grown in Vietnam, India, Africa and in smaller quantities, in Australia. We source only the highest quality of cashews.

The Process

Our cashew kernels are vacuum packed and a large percentage are exported to European and North American retailers. A smaller portion of the kernels are sold locally.

Sizes and qualities

We process cashew nut kernels of different sizes and qualities. The whole cashew nut kernels are divided into up to 5 different sizes and qualities; Whole Whites (WW) 450, 320, 240, 210, 180, the latter being the biggest. The most common sizes are the WW 320 and the WW 240. The broken kernels are divided into butts, splits, chips, large white pieces (LWP) and small white pieces (SWP).
